SJK is excited to announce a partnership with St. Jerome's University and the University of Waterloo to offer a boarding program housed at Resurrection College, available to current and prospective students in September 2018.
SJK Boarding will provide students with a supportive community, access to university amenities, within walking distance, and expanded academic and social programming.
The co-ed residence can accommodate approximately 49 students separated into gender-specific wings. All students will have single, private rooms, which includes a bed, closet, desk and sink. Shared washrooms are at the end of each hallway.
Students will have access to a common lounge area, study rooms, dining hall, kitchen area, fridge and microwave.
Full-time boarding staff will be accessible to students 24/7 and will be on active duty on evenings and weekends.
A fully outfitted game and lounge room, including a television, pool table, table tennis table and more will be available for use during designated evening and weekend time. Additionally, an outdoor patio for social time and study will be available.
Students will also have access to university spaces including the library and athletics centre, for use during designated free times on weekends and some evenings.
Meals & Transportation
A full meal plan will be included in the cost of the Boarding Student Fee. Breakfast and dinner will be provided in the Dining Hall at the new Residence building. Lunch and morning snack will be eaten at SJK on weekdays, and at the residence on weekends.
An express bus will operate to and from the residence with an approximate travel time of 15 minutes.
